15-days Highlights of UgandaTour Overview

Our 15-days trip brings you the highlights of Uganda where the savannah meets the rainforest; expect to see the animals of the savannah (lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, leopards) and up to 13 primate spices, including Gorillas and Chimpanzees. This trip specifically includes the most important and well known National parks of Uganda. Murchishon falls national park, Kibale forest national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo national park.

Day to day program of 15-days Highlights of Uganda tour

Day 1. Entebbe – Kampala.                                                                                                                                 

Arrive at Entebbe Airport, our guide will be there waiting for you. Pick up and proceed to your accommodation.

Day 2. Kampala – Nakasongola.                                                                                                                          

After breakfast drive to Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. Rhino tracking in the evening. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see the white rhinos.

Day 3. Nakasongola – Murchison falls national park.                                                                                 

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Visit the top of the falls. Visit the dramatic Murchison Falls and stand in awe as you watch the world`s longest river explode through a narrow gorge and fall into a frozen pool below, it makes a memorable impact and leaves you breathless. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and maybe leopards depending on the luck of the day.

Day 4. Murchison Falls National Park.                                                                                                                 

Early morning game drive in this beautiful national park,  For the fun and love of watching wild animals drive thoroughly in this natural habitat, Murchison Falls is a pristine of picture of untouched wilderness that is truly well-reserved but also accessible. It is really a natural wildlife paradise and boasts a rich variety of large mammals including far of the big five. A drive through the park will give you the opportunity to see amazing wild games. The boat is the perfect platform where to see and photograph many different bird species.

Day 5. Murchison – Kibale Forest National Park.                                                                                              

 After breakfast, we drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest National Park is a mainly forested park, and is best known for its primate populations of 1456 chimpanzees and 13 species of primates including the localized red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys and the endemic Uganda mangabay.  Kibale has the most chimpanzees in Uganda and Africa.

Day 6. Kibale Forest National Park.                                                                                                          

Chimpanzee tracking in the morning. If you are interested in primates and birds and willing to make another walk, we can make a community walk in the Bigodi wetland and the crater lakes as well.

Day 7. Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park.                                                                                            

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, perhaps a game drive in the evening. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most scenic and diverse park with a fabulous location on the floor of the Albertan Rift Valley, 910 to 1,390 m above sea level. Uganda’s most popular tourist destination expects to see elephants, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and maybe leopards depending on the luck of the day.

Day 8. Queen Elizabeth National Park.                                                                                                                

Early morning game drive, boat trip in the afternoon at the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel is one of the highlights of Uganda and has the highest concentration of hippos in the world.

Day 9. Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha sector.                                                                                                           

After breakfast, we drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector in the south. Game drive in the afternoon in search of the tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha there are prides of lions that climb trees daily. Unique in the world. The other attractions of Ishasha are the topis.

Day 10. Ishaha – Bwindi impenetrable national park.

 Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.  Africa`s richest forest which is listed as the UNESCO world`s heritage site offers man`s hairy, black, ugly, looking but intelligent man, close cousin tracking in its jungle as the major activity and a want to every tourist that hopes to come to Uganda. Bwindi is one of the two places in the world where you can find mountain Gorillas. There are 4 areas for Gorilla tracking in Bwindi. That is Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo. Depending on the group of Gorillas you will be tracking, we will choose where to sleep in Bwindi.

Day 11. Bwindi national park.                                                                                                                                                    

Gorilla tracking early morning, departure with your game rangers to search for one of the world’s most interesting and endangered animals the mountain Gorilla. You will be allowed to spend one hour with one of our closest relatives. An experience you will never forget in your life.

Day 12. Bwindi national park.                                                                                                                                                        

Day for relaxation. Optional activities, make a nature walk through the park, go for a primate or bird-watching walk or visit the local people or pygmies.

Day 13. Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi.                                                                                                                                 

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the deepest and most beautiful lake in Uganda and the most beautiful spot in the world (BBC 2000) located in Switzerland Africa. Possible activities make a nature walk and go for a bird walk/tour or canoeing, take a swim or visit the local community (all activities optional).

Day 14. Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo national park.                                                                                                         

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Though this is the smallest savannah park (371 sq km) lays en route from Kampala to Bwindi a mosaic of habitats including open water, wetland, grassland, acacia woodland and forest patches. Take a boat ride in the evening. Night game drives with high chances of seeing leopards. (Optional). Lake Mburo National Park is one of the two national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants so walking safaris are possible but you must be having a game ranger with a gun. (Optional).

Day 15. Lake Mburo – Entebbe.                                                                                                                                          

Game drive in the morning on our way back to Entebbe, we stop at the Equator for photos and lunch. Transfer to the Airport for your departure.
